If you're wondering why we have glass-plate negatives from Great Falls, Montana, and Northern California in EDEO's collection then join the club. Honestly, that's the real mystery behind the case from March 2014 titled "Where in the World?". The quality of some of the photographs are excellent, as you can see below, while the quality of some (like this month's mystery, "What in the World?") are not that great. Regardless of their quality or where the photos were taken, they all deserve to be preserved, shared and honored. I will post some of my favorite images from this series over the next few months, so stay tuned.

I am Louis Perkins' daughter living at Terwilliger plaza in Portland. Hazel Morrison Perkins, my step-mother was born in Great Falls and probably lived there in her early life. That accounts for this picture, surely. Hazel, bless her, saved everything and no doubt this is among your treasures. I would love to see some of the things you may have about my father, a beloved man and a great character in the life of Eastern Oregon Episcopal church. I am a member of Trinity Cathedral in Portland.

Dorothy Perkins Wysham: I am not sure how your EOEC reply got to the e-mail address it did but understand that I got to the church website onaccountabecause I recognized that pic of downtown Great Falls and I also recognized the "Episcopal" designation because a relative I am researching was big in Methodist Episcopal affairs and attended forums all over having that designation. If you would be interested in discussing genealogy privately to sort out who might be who in the Perkins realm (I did know quite a few with that surname), contact me @ [email protected] & we won't fill up the church website with junk that does not pertain. <Mel Hasbrouck>.
